Q4 2026 · Cabinets and vanities
Cabinets: the long lead item that sets the finish schedule.
Cabinets are usually the last big order before drywall finishes and the first thing that holds up a unit turnover. From Asia, order to site runs 70 to 105 days. From Yucatán, about 37 days: a short sea crossing from Progreso, then 7 to 10 days by truck. The shorter the trip, the later you can lock the order and the less you carry in buffer stock.
Lead time by route
| Route | Order to site | What the time is spent on |
|---|---|---|
| Asia by ocean | 70 to 105 days | Production, port, five to seven weeks of ocean and port time, inland delivery |
| Yucatán by sea, then truck | About 37 days | Four to five weeks of production, a short Gulf crossing, 7 to 10 days by truck |
What a shorter trip changes on a project
Orders can be placed after drawings settle, not months before. Shortages and damaged boxes are replaced in weeks, not another ocean cycle. Less inventory sits in a warehouse waiting for the building to be ready.
Lead times are Cabo Group figures for its own supply, to be replaced with dated shipment records from next quarter.
